Compulsory for vessels over 500 GT, not if staying at anchorage. Available on 24 hours a day basis. Calling VHF ch. 16 (working VHF ch. 12) one hour prior to ship’s ETA. Pilot Station 43° 29 5’ N / 16° 26’ E. Estimated time for docking from pilot on board is 25 minutes. Charged on vessel’s GT basis. OT: 22-06 Mon-Fri & Sat & Sun +50%, Hol +100%.

Mooring:
The bora is rather strong; the sirocco causes waves on the W coast only, the southerly and south-westerly cause an unpleasant swell and the flooding of the N sea wall.

Wharfage:
St. Duje Quay: length 465 m, depth alongside 6,00-9,00 m., height of the pier above the MWL 1,00 m. St. Peter Quay: length 650 m, depth alongside 4,00-7,00m, height of the pier above the MWL 1,00 m. St. Nikola Quay: length 230 m, depth alongside 3,00-4,00 m, height of the pier above the MWL 1,00 m The breakwater’s inner end: length 230 m, depth alongside 5,00-9,00 m. Equipped with rubber fenders.

Anchorage:
0.5 mile SE off the South port breakwater. Good holding ground. Exposed to NE/SE. Approximately 1NM to tender’s berths at St. Duje pier, height of the quay above the MWL 1,00m. Safe for night use. Landing can be made by ship’s launches. No levy payable for ship’s tenders. One or two can go alongside at any time. Estimated time for tender docking is 10 minutes
